With football seasons' arrival, the need for volunteers goes up greatly. The band is in need of chaperones, concession help, and fundraising help. There are many opportunities now and additional chances coming in the near future. Band fundraisers are the main way the band program earns money to supplement the budget provided by the school system. These funds are used to fill the needs of the educational program which can include purchasing music, instruments, dry erase markers and copy paper. We are always happy to receive any items as donations, but we also need parents to participate in fundraising events. If you participate in band fundraisers we offer a credit towards your student band account that can be used for supplies like reeds or concert clothes. You can even use the funds for trips and marching band dues. Click the links below for details of each event and see how you can participate.
If you ordered a show shirt and have not paid/picked-up please see Tonya Crowe, Cyndi White, or Catherine Petway this week. Band hoodies have been ordered and should be in soon. If you wish to purchase any spirit wear see any of the ladies above.
Do some research on the hot vocal acapella group Pentatonix. They perform a wonderful mix of old remakes, fresh new versions of today's hits and wonderful original compositions. This will prove to be one of your favorite shows. Check the Music page for recordings with click tracks.
Here is a pdf of the football schedule.
