This weeks game is a home game and the band room will be closed after school.
In observance of Halloween, students can come dressed in a costume that still meets the school dress code (no masks). Please do not run out and spend money on a costume. Be creative and make your own. Have fun with it!
We are also going to do a candy swap with Cedar Shoals band. Bring a bag of candy if you want to participate.
Band room will open at 5:30pm
Call time, dressed at the rock ready to play is 6:30pm
If you signed up to fundraise your $60.00 band fundraising fee you only have two chances left to earn credits at the bake sale or concession stand. We also have an opportunity to earn a band credit with our corporate sponsorship program. Please don't wait and miss this chance to get band credits.
When you signed up for marching band your fundraising fee was not included in your balance. The fundraising fee will be added to your account by the end of the marching season. You may choose to send in $60.00 to complete your payments if you do not wish to participate in the band fundraisers. You may also use money from individual fundraisers to pay this fee. See the marching band tab for the individual fundraisers.
All balances need to be paid by the end of this semester so make your plans to clear your balances up today.

In honor of Mr. Fuller's return, the marching band is going to participate in a Cheerios Heart Healthy Challenge. We are going to build a wall of Cheerios to promote eating well for your heart. We plan to take pictures of our wall to share. We are also going to donate all our boxes of Cheerios to a local food bank. If you want to participate, send in an unopened box of any flavor of Cheerios cereal on Thursday, November 6th for band practice.
The band did a wonderful job at festival this year, earning our 14th straight Superior rating. I am so proud of all the work that you put into getting our show polished up and the performance you gave on Oct. 4th. A big thanks to Mr. Pearce, Mr. Threadgill, Mrs. Gilstrap, Mr. Aldridge and Mr. Smith for all they did to help our band keep moving forward.
You can still order letterman jackets through the school website. A $100 deposit is required. Click here to print out a form. Remember you must be at least completing your second year in Marching Band to be eligible to order a jacket.
Great job with the exhibition. Check out the video here

Band fundraisers are the main way the band program earns money to supplement the budget provided by the school system. These funds are used to fill the needs of the educational program which can include purchasing music, instruments, dry erase markers and copy paper. We are always happy to receive any items as donations, but we also need parents to participate in fundraising events. If you participate in band fundraisers we offer a credit towards your student band account that can be used for supplies like reeds or concert clothes. You can even use the funds for trips and marching band dues. Click the links below for details of each event and see how you can participate.
If you can earn a corporate sponsorship from your place of employment you can earn 1 band credit for a bronze sponsor, 2 band credits for a silver sponsor, 3 band credits for a gold sponsor, and 4 band credits for a platinum sponsor. If you would like to head up this fundraising program and have the potential earn multiple band credits see Catherine Petway.
Print 1 copy of each file. Use the letter to explain the program to your employer. If they choose to become a sponsor have them complete the application, attach their payment and mail it to the address at the bottom of the form. Make sure to write your student's name in the comment section of the form so that your band credit will be applied to the correct account.
Do some research on the hot vocal acapella group Pentatonix. They perform a wonderful mix of old remakes, fresh new versions of today's hits and wonderful original compositions. This will prove to be one of your favorite shows. Check the Music page for recordings with click tracks.
